Okay…it doesn’t look like much but you’re just gonna have to trust me. This is some tasty tuna!
We like having our tuna Sammies open faced but hey, to each their own. If you like having your tuna sandwich closed with two pieces of bread then may I suggest adding some cheddar cheese and lettuce. Hmmm..yummy!
One can of tuna should make two sandwiches easy and three open faced.
Here’s what I did:
- One can of chunk light tuna in water- drained and squeezed
- 1 dill pickle – cubed
- 6-7 pickled hot banana peppers pieces – chopped into little bits
- Seasoning salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp of onion powder
- One tsp of lemon juice
- 2 tbsps of mayonnaise
Directions:
Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix it up real good!
Toast some bread and smear real butter on that toast. No margarine! Margarine is not allowed.
Now make your Sammies!
Enjoy with a bowl of tomato soup! This is what we like to do..it’s our lazy supper idea ‘cause sometimes you just don’t feel like cooking anything fancy.
Remember to cook with love in your heart – the food will taste better ❤️
