Behold the vegetable! Vegetables are beautiful!

This picture was taken back in August. Our friends/neighbors were growing a garden and told us we could help ourselves to whatever we wanted. Jocelyne came in one day with said vegetables and just plunked them on the counter. I came along and thought “Wow, that would make a beautiful picture.” And here we are!

I like this picture so much it has become the wallpaper on my iPad. What we have here are shelling peas, snow peas, cherry tomatoes, lettuce, and purple beans. Did you know that purple beans turn green after they are cooked? It’s true and I did not know that.
